Industrial Design
The Industrial Design field has been growing by leaps and bounds due to the ongoing revolution in technology. With this growth the demand for professionals across the globe is also increasing, thereby contributing to the rise of the industry. And the time when industrial design will go mainstream is near. It’s getting fast and going far. Many industries such as aerospace, automobiles are already using it for their manufacturing and design. This could really benefit us to enhance our existing infrastructure in an efficient way, which will allow a large population of people to consume products manufactured here and more importantly from all around the world. How much faster can we design a spacecraft than create a missile for the US military? Or how long does a plastic surgeon stay on top of his skills? Well, these are some examples given by many experts. But, as I have mentioned earlier, if you ask me there is no shortage of opportunities in this field as well. So take advantage of them, experiment with different designs to see which works best for your project. Make sure that you have a good understanding of what makes a working product and how to make it effective for any purpose.
Healthcare
The healthcare sector is still considered to be at a very nascent stage but it is definitely the most lucrative sector of today’s world economy, especially in developed countries. Healthcare is highly valued by individuals and governments which means there will be significant gains for everyone in the coming years. With this high valuation comes several opportunities for investment. As per the experts, there will be great advancement in developing affordable treatments that can save lives. Also, the pandemic showed the government how important healthcare is for the society. We will finally get back to normalcy and live a healthy life. People would be willing to pay more for treating themselves and that’s why hospitals will be looking for investors and companies who want to invest in providing solutions for patients. These solutions should bring better treatment options and affordable prices. While the future looks promising for healthcare, let’s not forget there is plenty to do yet. From technological advancements to making medicines accessible for those who cannot afford them (or those who can), it’s an exciting journey ahead.
Nanotechnology/NanoMedicines
Nanotechnology is a branch of science dealing with manipulating matter, like how scientists use DNA strands for controlling different organisms, creating self-healing plastics or even printing on anything. Even through this we can predict the exact future of Nanomedicine, as we have seen how Nano technology is changing the future of medicine, making drug discovery easier and bringing many possibilities for innovation. If you look around at the current scenario, the impact of humanity is evident everywhere. It is all about pushing forward with changes in technology and innovations that may change medical treatment in the near future. Some of these advancements are already happening and they will probably grow, so here’s hoping that we will be able to achieve something very amazing in 2025.
Electronics
The 21st century owes its survival to the digital age. Electronics are extremely useful, and they help in doing almost everything. They have become indispensable in our day to day life. Especially in consumer items like smartphones, computers, laptops, cars, laptops, etc., which are the essentials of almost every part of daily life. Apart from technological advancements, the internet is playing an essential role in shaping the lifestyle of every individual. For example, as people get connected, they are connecting to each other. We will have social distancing in our day to day lives even after the lockdown ends and that’s how the market and society of the upcoming years will evolve. At the same time, we are seeing people wanting to be independent and it will lead to a shift towards the consumption of food and non-food items. Therefore, the use of online entertainment and video content will increase. Everything will change dramatically in the following year. When the entertainment industry starts giving us what they want, then the entire world will change. We are all depending upon the global tech giants to deliver that. Just because they have billions of people buying their stuff doesn’t mean that nobody else has the power to buy their stuff either. And this will greatly affect the whole country. So, it looks like we are living in an era where media is king. Media companies and the streaming services will start being dominant in the market. Hence, there is a big possibility of disruption in every sector of the future. Let’s hope for the best and watch out to face the challenges.
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
AI and ML are becoming so prevalent that we can consider the term artificial intelligence as synonymous with Artificial Neural Networks. A neural network can be defined as a system inspired by biological neurons that process data and find patterns in that data. Once fed enough data, a neuron can produce desired output and learn from that pattern. AI and machine learning are the two main aspects of artificial intelligence systems. There are numerous techniques to make machines capable of doing tasks and it is impossible for one human to accomplish that alone but with AI, you only need a small amount of data and the right algorithm to complete the task. To give you an idea, Netflix has created thousands of movies just like what you saw at the box office last night. Although you still have a lot to learn, here’s hoping we will see a major advance in the subject in 2025.
Space Exploration/Astronomy
Astronomy is a vast field and a wide topic. However, like the name suggests, it explores and studies our own solar system. Astronomy can be very confusing. Now, imagine trying to explain to someone how Mars was formed and even how Venus has evolved over millions of years. All we know of astronomy is what we see now, right? That might seem trivial, however, to date this planet has only existed a mere 2.5 million years ago and it will likely continue to exist for another billion years. Scientists believe that, from around 4 to 7 billion years, there could be habitable conditions for life here and thus, it is imperative that we get to know more about how it formed and is currently shaping our planet. On the other hand, humans have sent astronauts to Mars. What is more interesting to hear is how many types of creatures were there and how they interacted with one another and eventually dominated it. Science fiction offers an insight into what we can expect from the future. Who knows, maybe the Martian landscape of 2025 looks somewhat different than Earth’s. Maybe mankind is exploring outer space, possibly more scientifically than ever before.
Healthcare Technology
Although it seems like medical experts have forgotten about certain crucial aspects of life (like how we used to do, say 100 years ago), the experts suggest a paradigm shift in the coming few decades. Healthcare is a booming field which means there are immense opportunities for investing. According to doctors, the biggest opportunity is the wearable technology boom. These wearables have the potential to collect, analyze and track vital signs of the wearer. Wearable gadgets are mostly worn on the wrist or the ankle, though a few have come over the ear canal. Such technology is constantly improving until there is a perfect one. Since you can buy wearable versions of whatever device you have, you will easily access the information from that wearable. They have the capability to measure blood pressure, stress levels and sleep pattern. Such information can potentially provide insights into patient behavior which can then influence future therapies in addition to diagnosing and treating diseases. Along with this, they can also identify patients who are most likely to develop heart attack and get early advice on that.
A recent survey of 2.2 million people conducted by Stanford University found that 71% of adults in America would purchase wearable technology if it offered the ability to monitor blood pressure, pulse rate and glucose, among others. The majority, therefore, believe that these devices should be accessible to everyone by adding value to their day-to-day activities. This makes sense given all the technical details and benefits there are coming. In the meantime, Apple, Samsung and Adidas are working on a range of smartwatches. Each company is focused on delivering a high level of user support and usability. The reason behind this is simple: we all want our convenience and when we have enough power, we want it all conveniently at the palm of our hand! The question remains: will such wearable technology disrupt the health care industry? Can it be incorporated anywhere, so that a person can continuously monitor his or her blood pressure from home? Will this be beneficial to anyone? Only time will tell. And if history tells us anything, it will be a tough battle fought between different sectors. But, there will undoubtedly be a winner in the end.
Automation in Transportation
In the transportation sector, automation has become increasingly prominent. According to Google Trends, “autonomous vehicles were among the hottest searches by Americans in 2016”. Though there are not many actual miles driven driven on public roads these days (since most vehicles come equipped with automated navigation system), the presence of autonomous driving will soon pave the path for a new futuristic model of
