2050 World

The world we need to create in order to survive is one that is sustainable and ecologically sensitive. One in which all life is encouraged, if not required, to exist within it. What we are facing today with the constant increase of humanity's population, climate change, environmental catastrophe, global instability and even a rapidly changing future. Allowing us to continue this rapid growth without allowing for a balance of all life on Earth. Humanity needs to start creating another generation of life for its children or themselves. With only two generations left to experience life, they will either be too young to fully understand what they have been told about the world around them or may even come to resent it. In the second example I'd like to share my personal perspective of where our society should look and where it isn't looking.

With just a few examples, I can show you how people today who believe what they are hearing are not paying attention to what they are experiencing. This is particularly true for those whose beliefs are more extreme as the majority of the public on social media is now leaning towards conspiracy theory and extremist movements. As time goes by we are losing the ability to discern what really matters to the masses, it seems more important than ever to shift to something more rational and scientific as an answer. For me personally, science is what I do not want to go completely ignored. However, when I am subjected to such extreme information it could be hard for someone to separate out fact from fiction. To give up so much faith in the ideas that I've found out are false and misleading to our society today. For some reason, I feel that I still believe in science but I am slowly realizing that we are going through a lot more than I'm expecting. A lot of the things that society tells you to believe. Whether it's an argument about religion, politics, or a global warming problem, can be proven to be nothing but lies and fake news. That being said, despite this we should continue in doing everything possible to ensure that these lies and fake information are not reaching the masses much longer. For starters, there should be more education available. From schools, to governments, even to any individual involved with the topic. We can be the first ones to tell the truths, even if it does make them sound crazy to some extent. It's sad to see many of our politicians, scientists, and religious leaders having this attitude; however I don't think that any of us want them to just say anything at all.

There's also the possibility that we'll see government agencies begin to question the validity of certain issues, for instance whether or not 9/11 really happened. Many times it's easy to see why an event as tragic as 9/11 would take place if you want to be completely sure but it seems like all our institutions don't want that. We already have the highest level of governmental corruption and the world is struggling on every level without even knowing what it's actually for. Even the most well-meaning individuals will not always agree with the way certain events or ideas are portrayed because they always seem like something worth protecting. However, that doesn't mean that those same individuals can't be persuaded to question their beliefs and ideas, as it might sound like the best thing to do. Most people don't like the idea of asking questions because they think they're boring and stupid. However, when you're forced to ask questions it can be difficult to accept anything other than your own opinion. At least that's what happened during high school when I was trying to understand the things that were going on around me. When questioned in class we were expected to answer the questions with our whole hearts and souls. So for example, one of our teachers asked us our thoughts and opinions about religion and it wasn't until I started to consider each opinion and how each one made sense that my own idea finally fit into reality. Now that I've thought about it I can stand behind the idea that maybe religion should be kept away from the public eye, especially since some people aren't very open minded. However, I think that just making us think would be dangerous. Especially in today's technological age, people spend a million dollars for a pair of glasses only to find out that the lenses on the glasses don't truly protect their vision. That means after wearing something thinking it would do the job, I'd rather wear something that's made solely for me. Maybe God had something else planned for me instead, or maybe He has no plan for me. Regardless, I'm still the person I am, and that's all that matters. Instead of constantly asking questions and following up, it's probably better for us all to stick to a simple set of rules and stay as plain as they can possibly be. Our society wants everyone to think alike, and because everyone thinks like everyone else, they all try to become one person. Although to remain equal society must first strive to become equal people. We can always become better people when we have access to the knowledge to help ourselves change our minds.
